of personal information we collect and use depend on how you interact with our services. We may collect your

The information you provide
（1）Account Information
When you register or log in, we will collect your personal information, including your phone number or email, password, and birthday. You may also fill in gender, nickname, and other related information. You should ensure the accuracy of such information. We collect this information to provide account registration and login services, and to protect your account and enhance your online personal profile.
（2）Information Exchange
When you post a text comment on a video, we will collect the text content and relevant metadata (such as the commenter, the time of sending, and IP address). We do this to ensure the normal display of comments, to confirm the security of the content, to detect crimes, and to protect users.
(3) Photo Information
When you are required to take a photo for your profile picture or other services, or to select a photo from your album, we will ask you to access your camera or album, and collect the photo/video information and relevant metadata (such as the sender of the photo, the time of sending, and IP address) that you provide. If you refuse to provide such access, you will not be able to use that specific function, but it will not affect your access to other functions of the product and/or service.
(4) Survey and Promotional Information
If you participate in any of our surveys, promotions, contests, or marketing activities, we will collect the information you provide, such as your name, contact and address.
(5) Information Provided When You Contact Us
When you contact us, to ensure the security of your account and system, we may first ask you to provide some personal information for verification. After verification, we will provide customer service based on your contact information (phone number/email/other contact methods), the way you communicate with us (including text/images/audio/video), and other necessary information related to your request. During this period, we will collect the personal information you provide in order to resolve your issues.
The information we automatically collect
(1) Device Information
When you access our services, we automatically collect your device information, including your IP address, device type, model, name, advertising ID, device ID, browser type and settings, operating system, language settings, mobile network information (including carrier name and information), phone number, app version, storage, and other IT information. We collect this information to implement the most basic product and service functions, protect your account and system, and provide you with continuous, stable, and consistent services.
(2) Usage Information
When you use the Newshort service, we automatically collect information such as the videos you are watching, the words you have searched for (including voice), the number of times you have viewed videos and advertisements and interacted with them, the duration and frequency of your use of our services, and your information. Interactions with other users, your purchase information, the information you like/share, your profile (such as your age, gender, interests, and hobbies), and/or other information related to your interaction with our website. We collect this information to provide you with the content you need. At the same time, to better understand users, we will use this information to analyze your interest in videos, so as to recommend high-quality videos and advertisements that you may be interested in real-time.
(3) Your Location Information
When you use our services, we collect your location information to implement some practical functions, such as recommending high-quality videos and advertisements in your area. We will roughly infer your location based on the IP address.
(4) Log Information
When you use the Newshort service, we automatically collect logs, which may be obtained through cookies, web beacons, log files, programming scripts, electronic tags, or other methods. Information from a Third Parties
(1) Third-Party Account Information
If you log in to our services using an account from a third-party platform (such as Facebook/Google/Apple ID/Astro ID), we will obtain your account information from that platform (including your name, avatar, phone number, email, and specific information, subject to your authorization) to create or log in to the Newshort account, to provide the services to the logged-in user, to protect your account, and to guard against security risks.
(2) Third-party payment agency information
If you purchase our VIP services or other content, the third-party payment service providers we collaborate with (such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and MasterCard) will provide us with your payment information or updates to it, so that we can verify your payment status and continue your paid services. Please note that we only collect information about the products you purchase, payment serial numbers, and channel IDs, and do not collect your bank account, payment passwords, or other payment information.
(3) Information Obtained from Public Sources
For example, data and public information published by the government on social media platforms.
(4) Information Obtained from Other Sources
You acknowledge that without your authorization, we will not and are not permitted to obtain any of your personal information from third parties. If we need to indirectly obtain your personal information from third parties due to business cooperation or other reasons, we will ensure the lawful collection and use of such information through multiple layers and methods: (1) We will take measures including but not limited to the following: entering into contracts to ensure that the third party has obtained your consent or has collected your personal information within the scope allowed by relevant laws and regulations; (2) We (or the third party) will clearly present to you the source, type, purpose, and usage method of the relevant personal information, business functions, and authorization scope (if the usage method and scope exceed the original authorization, we will obtain your consent again); (3) We will require the third party to commit to the legality of the source of personal information through agreements or other means, and if the third party violates the agreement, we will clearly demand that they bear the relevant responsibilities; (4) Our professional security team will strengthen the protection of personal information. We will use the information collected through the Newshort service for the following purposes, depending on the type of information:
(a) To enter into and fulfill agreements and the execution of agreements between both parties;
(b) To provide, process, maintain, develop, and improve the Newshort service (including video content, advertisements, and paid services);
(c) To provide personalized recommendations (including video content and advertisements);
(d) To evaluate your application (if applicable) and respond to your question/ inquiries/feedback/disputes;
(e) To process your registration and login requests, verify, and execute transactions related to online payments;
(f) To participate in platform interactions (such as video comments);
(g) To communicate with you, including sending you commercial promotional information, operational activity notifications, and updates to your agreement. For one or more contact details you provide in the Newshort service or that Newshort collects (such as email, phone number, email, and address), we may contact you during operations and send you information including security verification, product and service updates, including details of activities, discounts, user experience surveys, etc. You may opt out as described in Section (5) of Chapter 4 of this policy.
(h) To monitor, prevent, or investigate any fraudulent or abusive behavior, security risks, or technical issues that may cause damage to Newshort, you, or the public, to protect the security of your account and system, and to enhance the security and reliability of the Newshort service;
(i) Market research and trend analysis, as well as comprehensive statistics, data analysis, processing, and investigation related to the Newshort service.
(j) Other purposes disclosed to you separately when we collect your information, or purposes to which you have agreed.
C Cookie Policy

II How do we share and disclose your personal information
1. Sharing Your sharing
You can share your personal information or other information with any third party (including unspecified objects) based on Newshort services. For example, you can choose email, SMS, social APP (such as Facebook) or other applications to share relevant information when you using the sharing function of our services. The information you shared to any third-party applications will be controlled and processed by such third party, subject to its service terms and privacy policy. You should solely bear the responsibility for any disclosure, misuse or similar circumstances due to your sharing and we shall bear no responsibilities in this regard.
2. Our sharing
We usually don’t share your personal information with any third party, except in one or multiple of the following circumstances where we will do such as per the legal requirements of your judicial jurisdiction:
2.1 Where you make the proposal to share or prior consent of sharing has been obtained;
2.2 Sharing with business partners
You understand and agree that some of our services will be provided by our business partners or jointly therewith, and that you agree that we can share your necessary personal information with the following partners for the sake of this Policy:
a. service provider, such as promotion agency, payment agency, logistics provider, other partners providing services including Apple pay, Google pay and Salesforce.
b. data processor (including the one providing such services as online advertisement data monitoring, data statistics and data analysis), to analyze/maintain/improve our services and offer you better contents, we may share your relevant information with designated partners (such as Comscore and Google) providing such services in a summarized manner (such as video play record, advertisement display record, terminal model and your local city). Where the aforesaid information involves no personal information, please be assured that unless with your consent, we will never share your personal information;
c. advertisement partners, for example, during our cooperation with Google, Smaato, OpenX and Yahoo concerning advertisement putting, we will share your device ID, advertising ID, user age and gender tag and IP address with them, so as to help with advertisement or decision-making process, improvement of the advertisement effectiveness and further understanding of user needs. A privacy identifier means that we will convert original information (e.g. email or phone number) into values to prevent original information leakage.
d. service partners of operation activity, for example, we will share the information of any winner (e.g. your name and other information) in the joint marketing activity with a third party, so that such third party can send you the reward/present in a timely manner;
e. third party SDK provider: our product may contain third party SDK or other similar applications; if you use such services provided by third party on our platform, you agree to its direct collection and processing of your information (by such ways as insert code or widget). The collection and processing of information by such provider follow its own privacy provisions, not this Policy. However, we will also do our best in examining the access qualification of such third party and impose lawful, compliant and secure requirements thereon. To protect your information security to the maximum, we strongly recommend you to first read its privacy provisions before using any third-party SDK. To ensure your lawful rights and interests, if you discover the risks of any such SDK or similar application, we suggest you immediately cancel relevant operations and contact us in time.
f. other business partners:
When sharing your information, we will take multiple measures to protect your personal information, including but not limited to (1) where necessary, we will obtain your authorization and consent upon notifying the purpose, type and receiving party of relevant information before sharing; (2) we will use an agreement to strictly ensure that the information receiving party observes the duties and bears legal responsibilities concerning protection of personal information; (3) our security team will conduct security evaluation and processing as to the manner, transfer, use, etc. of the information and try to make the personal information anonymous; (4) where the aforesaid sharing involves possible transmission of your information to other countries/regions, whether it’s to our related companies or any third party partner, we will abide by relevant applicable laws and regulations to ensure that this type of information satisfy local legal requirements for data protection.
2.3 Sharing under legal provisions or regulatory requirements

2.4 Any third party related to certain transactions
If we’re engaged in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, division, bankruptcy, transfer of asset or similar transaction and your personal information may be transferred as part of the deal, we will notify you in this regard and demand the new holder of the information abide by and perform any and all contents of this Newshort Privacy Policy (including purpose and rules for use and security protection measures).

b. period: generally, we only need to store your personal information in the shortest period of time possible for provision of our services and after such period, we will delete or anonymize your personal information as per the requirements of relevant laws and regulations. However, in the following circumstances, we may alter the period for storage of information due to relevant legal requirement:
(1) to follow relevant provisions of applicable laws and regulations;
(2) to follow court decision, ruling or other legal procedures;
(3) to follow the requirements of relevant government organs or statutory authorized organizations;
(4) we deem necessary to follow relevant provisions of laws and regulations;

We establish special department for personal information protection and formulated relevant internal control management system to minimize employee authorization such as the standard for secure use of business data and standard management system of data cooperation; organize employees to participate in relevant security protection training on a regular basis and take other practicable security organization and management measures, such as locking the storage area of personal information and restricting employees’ access to the storage area.
3. Handling of security incidents

Inquire/access usage information: You can inquire part of your usage information at any time through the related product page, including collection history, viewing history and offline downloads.
You may rectify/alter part of your personal information by following the operation guide and settings on relevant product pages in Newshort services. In addition, you can contact us to directly modify or alter your personal information.
You may delete your relevant personal information in Newshort services, either by directly contacting us, or via our product. The delete functions provided by our product include the following:
Delete account: You may remove any content from your account either by contacting us directly, or through the built-in online account deletion function
You understand and agree that once you delete your personal information from Newshort services by yourself or with our help, we may not immediately delete your information from the backup system subject to applicable laws and regulations and relevant security technology, in which case, we will store your personal information in a secure manner and separate such from any further data processing, till such information is deleted or anonymized during the update of our backup system.
If you encounter any trouble in exercising such right, you may contact us via the contact information provided herein and we shall help you solve the issue upon verification of your identity within proper period or the period prescribed by the law of your judicial jurisdiction area, unless otherwise stipulated by the applicable laws and regulations or as otherwise agreed upon in this Policy. V Protection of minors
You must be at least 18 years old to become a member of the Newshort services.

(1) Scope of application

VIII Dispute resolution
If any court of law, having the jurisdiction to decide on this matter, rules that any provision of this Policy is invalid, then that provision will be removed from this Policy without affecting the rest of this Policy. The remaining provisions of this Policy will continue to be valid and enforceable.
Any disputes that raised out of or related to this Agreement, including but not limited to carrying out the provisions of this Agreement, shall be negotiated by both parties through amicable settlement.
